Being a tutor

Our tutors work in close partnership with parents, teaching two days a week at our academy. The other three days a week, the students are taught at home by their parents, meaning that being a tutor is a part-time role.

Many of our tutors are also parents, with their children enrolled at RCA UK. In this way, they can both be fully invested in our mission and fit their work around the rhythm of family life.

Tutors also become a part of our community of families and work with like-minded people towards a common goal: to raise up the next generation of saints.

All of our tutors are initially trained by Regina Caeli Academy in the US and then receive in-house training two or three times a year, with an optional master tutoring certificate offered.

Requirements

To become a tutor you do not have to have a teaching background but it is helpful if you do. You will be required to:

  • Go through a normal interview process

  • Fully buy into the mission and vision of Regina Caeli Academy UK

  • Be available to accept a part-time role

  • Live or move to within commuting distance of our centre in Bedfordshire
